I grew up in my Mom's restaurant and helping my grand mothers in their gardens and kitchens. I began guiding in college as A way to keep my lunch camp going on the Upper Salt River in Arizona, and I never stopped. Rowing a boat is a soulful experience.

I have been guiding and catering in Idaho's outdoors for 30+ years. I love guiding Whitewater, Fly Fishing and Backpacking. I love teaching dutch oven skills and how great food can be served in the great outdoors or at yurts or backcountry lodges.

I cook in backyards and camps, and yes in kitchens too!

RIVER FOOD SPICES IS MY NEWEST COMPANY, SOON TO BE THE SPICE SHACK OF SUN VALLEY. IT IS AN EXTENSION OF MY GUIDING AND CULINARY LIFE. I HAVE CREATED OVER 30 ORIGINAL , ZERO PRESERVATIVE, SPICE AND TEA BLENDS COMBINING MY LOVE OF GREAT FOOD AND THE GREAT WILDERNESS THAT CONTINUES TO HUMBLE ME. I HAVE A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO FOOD AND LIFE AND KNOW ALL THINGS ARE CONNECTED AND FOOD CAN EQUAL HEALTH AND LOVE. I WILL GO ALL IN TO MAKE ANY EVENT SPECIAL, PERSONAL, AND WITH INTENTION.
