“I love this cookbook! The images are amazing and the recipes are awesome. I bought one copy to give as a Christmas gift and I am using the other to plan the whole 16 days of food for our spring Grand Canyon trip . Thank you for taking my calls and helping plan this adventure, you are truly a great resource. Thanks Courtney!”

"Thank you Courtney, what a great cook book! I have made so many recipes already at home, and cannot wait to make them outdoors. We have plans to camp much of our summer and the kids love the Sherried Beef and your Eggs Benedict Stew, so those are a must! I also like your stories and suggestions. Nice images too! Well done."

"Not being much of a cook, I bought your book to bring up my campfire cooking game: Now, instead of hot dogs on our last hunt trip I made Chicken Finley and the guys went nuts for it! My wife made the Earl Parrot's Apple Pie and it was awesome too. I totally get your "Why eat dirt?" slogan now. Thanks for the cook book and inspiration."

"I just bought your book and gave two as gifts. The images are beautiful. The recipes are great and I love that you gave instructions on 'how to' for camp as well as at home. I also appreciate how easy they were to make for two or ten people. I went down the Middle Fork a thousand years ago with Mackay Wilderness River Trips and both the food and you guides were terrific. This cook book brings it all back and makes me want to go again."

“Best River Cookbook published yet! You took the intimidation out of dutch oven cooking for me. Now it is just plain fun. Thank you! I love your Instagram post also. Keep up the good work,”

"My girlfriend drew a permit on the Main Salmon this summer and I bought her your cookbook. Before that she was worried about what meals we would serve on the river. Since she has made a few River Food meals and all that has changed. I am thrilled to say the meals were fantastic! Perhaps it is not that ironic that the No Worries Chicken Curry is now a staple in our house. We look forward to amazing our friends and family on the river. We will send photos. Thanks!"

"I bought four copies of River Food for gifts and one for myself. Everyone loves it! Great job explaining the 'in camp' versus the 'at home' recipes. This is such a great book! I love the images and the poetic way you set the scene for each section. 5 stars!"

This is such a great cookbook! I love all the personal little stories! This is a great cookbook if you are looking to feed a crowd or just table for 2! The recipes are easy and straight forward, it makes cooking these delicious hearty meals fun. I tried the Eggs Benedict Stew this weekend for my husband and I. It was AMAZING. I was easily able to divide the recipe so it was perfect for just the two of us. Plus this cookbook has “on the river” and “at home” cooking instructions! It will make you want to hop on the river just to paddle some rapids and enjoy a fabulous meal! ~Angie Madsen-Arnzen reviewed River Food — 5 stars
